Adding More Monitors
Following are the monitors that are associated by default for different device categories: - Servers: CPU, Memory, Disk Utilization
- Routers: CPU, Memory, Buffer Hits/Misses, Temperature
- Switches: CPU, Memory, BackPlane Utilization
- Firewalls: CPU, Memory, and Connection Count.
Similarly, other categories also have few resources monitoring triggered by default. Besides the ones that are automatically associated, you can also associate more monitors to monitor more parameters.
Steps to configure more monitors to multiple devices: - From the Central web client, go to Admin-> Device Templates.
- From the list of templates, select the template of the device type to which you want to associate more monitors. Click on the corresponding letter to get the template quickly.
- In the device template, from the Monitors column, click the Add Monitor button. All the predefined monitors are listed.
- Select the required monitor(s) and click on OK. The selected monitor(s) are added under the Monitors column.
- Click on Apply button. Apply Device Template to selected devices box opens.

- All the devices to which the monitors are associated are listed under Selected devices column. You can move device(s) from Unknown devices column to the Selected devices column inorder to associate the selected monitor(s). Again click on Apply button.
Steps to configure more monitors to a single device:
- From the Central/Probe web client, go to the device snapshot page.
- Under Monitors tab, click on the Monitor category under which you want to add monitor(s) of that category.
- Click on Add Monitor button.
- Select the desired monitor(s).
- Click on OK. The selected monitor(s) are associated to the device.
