Adding New TCP Service Monitors

New Service monitors can be created only from the Probe side. To add a new TCP service monitor, here are the steps: 
  1. From Probe web client, go to Admin-> Services.
  2. In the opened Services page, mouse over Actions tab and click on Add Service. Add Service page opens.
  3. Specify the TCP Service Name and Port Number on which the service is running.
  4. Enter the Timeout interval in seconds.
  5. Click on Add Service button.
Associating the Services to Devices

To associate the services to servers,
  1. From Probe web client, go to Admin-> Services.
  2. In the opened Services page, mouse over Actions tab and click on Associate. Associate a service to servers page opens.

  3. Select the TCP service that you want to associate to the servers.
  4. Select the device(s) on which you want to associate the TCP service from the column on the left and move them to right.
  5. Click on Save.
Using Quick Configuration Wizard
You can also use the Quick Configuration Wizard to associate a service to several devices at a single shot. Here are the steps: 
  1. From Probe web client, go to Admin-> Quick Configuration Wizard.
  2. Select Add a new service monitors to several devices option and click on Next.
  3. Select Associate a service to servers option and click on Next.
  4. Select the service that you want to associate to the servers and click on Next.
  5. Select the devices on which you want to associate the service from the left column and move to the right column.
  6. Click on Finish button.
