Consider the following steps to configure SMS Server Settings:
From the Central web client, go to
Admin
->
SMS Server Settings
.
Enter the
Port Number
of the Central Server to which the modem is connected.
Click on
OK
.
Ensure the following configurations are met.
The GSM modem used is supported by OpManager DE. Click on
Supported Modems
list to view the list of modems that are supported by OpManager DE.
GSM modem is connected to the Serial communication port.
A serial cable is used for connecting the server and the modem.
Note:
If the alert exceeds 160 characters then the notification will be dispatched in two or more sms.
