Creating a Sound Notification Profile

By default, OpManager DE provides a sound notification that plays a beep sound when a fault is detected in the associated devices. You can also create profiles to play the sound of your interest.

To create a sound profile, follow the steps given below:
  1. By default, a sound file 'ringin.wav' is available in <Central Home>/conf/application/scripts directory.
  2. If you want you can play your desired sound file. Paste the sound file in <Central Home>/conf/application/scripts directory.
  3. Create a Run Program notification profile with the following values to the fields:
    Command Name: ./jre/bin/java
    Program arguments    : -classpath ./classes/OpManagerServerClasses.jar com.adventnet.me.opmanager.server.alert.AudioNotifier ./conf/application/scripts/<audio_file_name>
You need to associate the profile to the device for triggering it during a fault.
