Service Packs and Hotfixes (Know what's next) 

We have renamed OpManager Enterprise Edition to OpManager Distributed Edition with the release of 7500.
The list given below are the issues/features that will be fixed/available in the next Service pack/hotfix release.

Hotfix 7501 :
Released Date : Dec 23rd 2009

New Features / Enhancements
  • Client responsiveness is increased by introducing separate write connection pool for archiving data
  • DBReconnection is enabled
  • Reporting granularity is enhanced to be in sync with data cleanup interval
  • SDP integration supports domainname in authentication
  • If Mysql table is crashed, it is repaired automatically
  • For global url monitors, url email profile adding /deletion is handled while url monitor is added/deleted.
  • Url Monitoring is enhanced to handle proxy server settings properly
  • Log Viewer files are sorted in alphabetical order
  • NT Services listing is sorted in alphabetical order in device snapshot and notification profile association page
  • Business View names are sorted in alphabetical order in report header, user addition, user modification, dashboard, drop down menus and device snapshots
 Issues Fixed
  • Alarm not getting cleared when device dependency is set. This is fixed
  • Health report for a particular site showed other site information. This is fixed
  • Maps dashboard showed devices of different site when logged in with a particular site. This is fixed
  • Issues with probes listing and probes status polling is fixed
  • Issue with XL view report file not opening properly is fixed
  • Interface Data Collection fails intermittently. This has been fixed
  • Users created with Business View access cannot be edited to include/remove other Business Views. This has been fixed
  • In the setup, Central Windows MSSQL and Probe Linux Mysql, the data from probe is not sent to the central. This is fixed
  • Interface Threshold violation for traffic utilization sends wrong notification. This has been fixed
  • CLI session timeout issue is fixed
  • OutOfMemory issues in CLI SSHv2 is fixed
  • In Notification time window, when starttime is greater that endtime, the endtime will be taken as 00:00 for the next day, instead of the actual endtime for the next day. This is fixed
  • UI Issue - In IE the Details view will not show status icon for Servers Page, while FF will show and the unmanaged button will not be properly aligned in the server Details page both in IE and FF - Fixed
  • Customer Name in MapLink table becomes undefined while editing the business view. This is fixed
  • Special characters were not handled in monitor names. This is fixed
  • In Schedule reports for business view, the business view name is missing in report header. This is fixed
  • In Device templates, custom monitors added were not getting deleted from the list of monitors while deleting the custom monitor itself. This is fixed
  • Read only users were able to rediscover the device. This is fixed
  • SDP integration in https mode was not working. This is fixed
  • False alarms in windows services issue is fixed

 Issues Fixed
  • All Server Disk Usage Report - PDF report was not working. That is fixed
  • BV names not listed in dashboard
  • Device Availability dial was showing not monitored while it was actually up for the last 24 hours. That is fixed
  • In dashboard, sometimes the severity for the categories was wrong. While logged in using one site, the severity was shown for the other sites too. That is fixed
  • Router IP Routing table, Address Table and Switch STP table were not working from central server. That is fixed
  • WMI data collection for CPU, Memory, Disk - error handling from the device was missing and leads to data not being collected. That is fixed
  • In BVNames, customer names and probe names are not allowed
  • In Notification Profile, testAction is included
  • Chat link removed in support tab
  • Site report gives report of all sites - This is fixed
  • Custom report - yesterday report was wrong - This is fixed
  • In ScheduleReports, for users with administrator privilege but not with name 'admin', the business views were not listed. That is fixed
  • If Site filter is selected, the BV has zero devices - That is fixed
  • The total devices count in dashboard map was reflecting page length, though the charts reflected all devices in that category. This was misleading. This is fixed to show total devices count in that category
  • Windows service monitors were not discovered from central server. That is fixed
  • Credentails page - special characters handled
  • Domain Controller category, cpu usage showed negative values. That is fixed
  • All Domain Controllers showed as having problem in the snapshot page in probe, even when there are no problems. That is fixed
  • Probes missing from the probes page in admin tab is fixed
  • In DisplayName of the device, XML specific special characters are not allowed
  • MapSymbols and MapLinks were disappearing from Business View if site filter is applied. That is fixed

  • Refresh Object in Probe gives message as Probe may be down or busy – Fixed
  • In VMware monitoring, rediscovery lead to discovering the monitors again and again – Fixed
  • When you click on the device in server top n graph in dashboard, it leads to error page. – Fixed
  • Clear alarm was not notified while the device misses 1/3/5 poll alarm alone was notified – Fixed
  • Alarm graph in dashboard showed wrong color and value – Fixed
  • In device snapshot, sometimes hundreds of interfaces were listed instead of showing the correct number of interfaces – Fixed
  • Map image missing for new device types added – Fixed
  • In Availability reports, the business view listing and sorting based on it is included in the header
  • Monitors for IBM AIX, HP UNIX and Windows 2008 added by default
  • Custom category related information was not getting transferred to the new probes created after custom category creation. That is fixed
  • While logging in as readonly user, the reports were not displayed properly. That is fixed
  • In read only user login, there was no provision to view all sites info. That is fixed
  • Unsolicited traps listing was missing in SnmpTrapProcessor configuration option in Probe webclient. That is fixed



Hotfix 7103 :

Issues fixed
  • Issue in Consecutive times in edit monitor not getting reflected is fixed.
  • ElementAvailability Hourly and Daily base tables were created with foreign key mapping. The foreign key mapping is not needed and hence removed
  • Issue in Daily Availability Archiving fixed
  • Issue in probe starting when it is in higher version than the central server is fixed
  • Issue in probe getting started in cold start, when it is not able to connect to the central server, due to correct/incorrect proxy server details is fixed
  • Issue in windows service monitors not getting monitored correctly is fixed
  • Admin -> Alarm Escalation -> Add New Rule page was throwing Error page. This is fixed
  • Unable to fetch interface details in interface snapshot for 64 bit interface. This is fixed
  • Issue in DC Availability report is fixed.

  • Issues in files not getting sent to the central server from probe is fixed

Hotfix 7102 :
Released Date : January 27th 2009

New Features or Enhancements added
  • Provision to configure the data cleaning interval for interface and availability data given through probe web client
  • Provision for Database management given in central admin tab
  • Netflow EE integration with OpManager DE via JumpTo is given
  • Event table cleanup interval is changed to 7 days by default
  • Availability report - site filter introduced
  • Windows Event log configuration option was not present in admin tab in linux build. It is included now. This is for linux central and windows probe setup.
Issues fixed
  • Issue in data-dictionary.xml being corrupted due to dynamic updation during dynamic table creation is fixed
  • No more does Availability report - pdf report for server/router show all devices
  • No more does Schedule reports - availability report show always 100%
  • Site report - availability report is now working.
  • Site report - This month, This week option is now working
  • Device Availability report - Last 7 days, Last 30 days were not showing data. That is fixed
  • Issue in dynamic table splitting in statsdata archived tables is fixed
  • Issue in reinitialize script is fixed
  • Issue in backup and restore in linux is fixed



Hotfix 7101 :
Released Date : December 23rd 2008

New Features or Enhancements added
  • Supports VMware ESX Server monitoring
  • Updated Trap processor to support all SNMP v1 and v2 Traps
  • Bandwidth used for Probe-Central communication is listed in respective Probe pages in Central
  • The Central server's home page includes Probe download link for easy downloading
Issues fixed
  • Issue of interface data not getting displayed in the device snapshot page is fixed
  • Fixed an issue where cache was not getting updated when Interface monitor is updated
  • Issue fixed when adding multiple MSSQL monitors
  • From Central server, no more are updates sent to unregistered probes.
  • Availability dial in snapshot page shows not monitored status even if the device is fully monitored and available. This is fixed now
